    G.Sprgr. ammo crate

    hi ,today i found this gewehr-sprenggranaten ammo crate in a garage !!
    the owner just gave it to me
    he told me he it belonged to his father .
    his father grabbed it from an abbandoned German ammo-car in the city of Maasmechelen (Belgium) in 1944 . everybody who was there took something home !!
    he also told me that his father dumped the granades next to the road !!!!
    the crate was used as a toolbox until now

        realy ? do you know which German troops operated in that region in 1944 ?
        or maybe they where just passing throu...

          Jo,
          I have no idea to be honest.
          Just lived there for 1 year.
          I only know that a German plane, with invasion plans, crashed there in 1940.
