          Hello,

          The case appears to have been stripped bare of any marking, paint or finish.
          This kind of box usually contained some kind of optic or optic part.

          Cheers

                  Hi Edwin,

                  Hereby my crate.

                  As you can see the condition is pretty poor/used. Don't know what they did with it, but they had a crazy idea to paint the crate with a ''salmon like'' colour
                  Haven't had time to clean it yet.

                  L = 51 cm
                  W = 17 cm
                  H = 22 cm

                  Unfortunate there are no stamps on the crate, but on the top you can read K.F.Z. 2, and optic that was used in German tanks

                    My crate is
                    L = 43 cm
                    W = 17 cm
                    H = 22 cm

                    so, seems to be a bit smaller in lenght

                    Mzzl

                      Hmmm interesting.
                      There is a guy here on the forum called, me__63 or Carles. He knows alot about optics. Maybe he knows where it was used for?

                        Hello,

                        Sorry for being late but I had some little problems with my faulty laptop. Yes, the box looks like the KZF2 MG34 panzer optic box (50 x 22 x 17 cm) but your's is a bit shorter. I imagine it's for some optic but not sure which Similar optics are the driver's KFF2 and also a bit shorter.

                        Can you show details of the inside, any screw holes or missing partitions?

                        Carles

                              Here you can compare the two KZF2 (at the right) to the KFF2 (left)
