They are called "Egg Grenades" or well known as the "Eierhandgranate M1917". The pull friction fuse on the left was also used by the right one too. They are made iron and are quite heavy for there size. The right one if I remember had the the string of bumps around the grenade at dead center were used for gripping the grenade in inclimate weather. I do not remember what they were filled with, but my belief is, considering that time period it might have been TNT. I can check it if you would like to know? Or for more information go here:
      www.bocn.co.uk/vbforum/forum.php or Lexes sight.

For what its worth I owned the one on the left with the exact same fuse. Ended up trading it for a INERT "Claymore with the complete kit for my SOG equipment.

I had a friend over at BOCN that had one for sale a while back. Because they were small and sorta neat to have one in a grenade collection, I was going to purchase it, but at the time, I lacked in Fiscal Funding.

If you need anymore info on them contact BOCN.

This type is way more rare than the same type with ring.Ring ones go as low as 40euros with detonator,i would say this one could be twice as much.

Best value you get for it in specific german auction site.
