      Perhaps East European?

      Hi,
It is certainly an unusual mortar. The baseplate is round like Soviet mortars but uses a Brandt type catch to hold the ball pivot in place. The yoke which attaches the bipod to the barrel appears to have a mount for a Soviet late- war or post-war Sight. The bipod appears to be a copy of a typical Brandt bipod. I would suspect this may have been produced in the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia because the State manufactory (Kragevac) produced 60mm Brandt mortar copies (M57) and these were fitted with a Soviet style NSB3 Sight. Perhaps it is a prototype for a variant on the M57 60mm mortar? Are there any markings on the breech cup or bipod?
      Still, a very interesting mortar!
      Regards,
      Draoich

        Hi Draoich,
Thanks for your help. It is possible that this mortar derived from ex JNA ( Yugoslavian National Army).
I got another image; mark is "BMB 039".

        Regards
        Drazen
