    ID objects

    Hello guys,

    found this today, I don't know what it is but looks like Ammo related (3 cm circa).

    any clue?

    Looks like a screw cap for an oil can to me.

      No screw on the cap as far as I can see.
      And I've found maybe 10 of them today...bit much for oil cans...

        Hi T.K.,

        I don't know what these are, but I think they ARE threaded in the center portion with a pressed type thread. You can see it starting at 10 o'clock on the first picture which is the top view of the cap and continuing clockwise which would mean it tightens to the left and loosens to the right !
        The 2nd image of the bottom of the cap starts at 7 o'clock and continues clockwise and the 3rd strats at 1 o'clock and continues likewise.
        Usually, threads that don't follow the "righty-tighty, lefty-loosey" rule are made for things that will be in motion.

        OR, for things that will receive some special contents or fluid so that it gets a second look before filling and avoid the "OOPS !"
