    US M2 60mm Mortar & HE mortar round

    Posted below is a US M2 60mm Mortar and HE mortar round that I recently acquired. I would appreciate comments (good or bad) from fellow forum members. Thank you.

    The leather cap looks to be in quite good condition. I am wondering whether it is original issue.

        The tag on the tripod is dated 1945.

                Good looking mortar. Here is mine:

                Your round does look post-WWII. The fuze does not appear to be the M52 Point Detonating fuze, but you can look to see if it has any markings.
                Great looking mortar and round!
