My personal preference would be to leave the Yugo paint on the magazine carrier; it is part of the military history of these items. If you strip it and repaint it, then you erase part of the history.

Others will feel differently, but my thoughts are to never destroy what you can't create, and you won't be able to wave a magic wand and restore the 50+ year old Yugo paint if you later change your mind. Thus, my vote is to just leave it "as is".

I gave US $75 for my mag, if that helps you on pricing.

You make valid arguements, particularly if you are a purist for military history. In that light, I would agree with your suggestion. I have to make up my mind should I want to remove the paint.

At ~75 bucks a mag I'd say 200 hundred for 2 with case is an ok price amount I paid...But maybe 150 would've been more inline with repainted case.
