    "Egg" German...I think

I was trying to straighten and clean up some things in the room tonight, so I can work on it some, and found some things I literally had forgotten I had. This is one.......I think it is a German "egg" grenade, but wasn't much into grenades although I once had several.

What can you tell me about it......including a fair price for it, if I decide to sell it.

Thanks Jens...........I wonder what kind it is then? I can't remember a thing about when I got it, or where I got it, since I have had it so long. I just assumed it was German.

This grenade is french origin and model is OF type grenade with M1916 billiant fuze.

Germans used this type also, atleast here in Finland. But more common was F1 type grenade with this same fuze above.

Thanks.......so, is this a WW1 grenade, or what, and would it have also been used in WW2 (I know this one wasn't used.....it hasn't blow up )? I really don't know much at all about grenades......also is it worth anything?

            Originally it is WW1 grenade.

It was used in WW2 as a part of german beute weaponry.Germans used lots of french hardware in war(grenades, tanks and others). This type grenades have been founded from Lapland where germans fought.

It is in very nice condition.I think it is worth atleast same than german M/39 grenade on same condition. These are more rare to find in such condition than german eggs.
