Large wooden ammo box.

My neighbours were having a clear out and put this box out for the bin men.

It measures about 60cm X 40cm X 40cm and is dated 1939.

I have removed some of the post war paint and a lot of the original gray paint is underneath. I also found the number 75871 stenciled on the side once the yellow paint was removed.

It could be a box for 4 t-mine 35. I mean for 2x those weird looking aluminium carrying rig for 2 mines. I have similar box and there is a label for it. 62x40x40cm.

Re measured the box, I think you may be right, length is 62cm!
