I went to an ex para that served in ireland during the early 70s , whilst on patrol he told me this was thrown from an upstairs window of a florists by a member of the ira, he told me he grabbed the radio operator ot of the way but thankfully it didnt explode, he was presented it by his mates on a plinth with lucky b@stard on a plaque but thats been lost to time, can anybody tell me if its a ww2 grenade, cheers Dave

hi, its a practice mills bomb normally painted white. It could well be ww2 but they were used well after the war. Hope this has helped.Comment

WWII mills Grenade. Drilled for practice & never filled with explosive.

Probably WWII never live and drilled as Practive grenade only usually unpainted or occassionally white.
