I have a lot of equipment for using large caliber weapons. I would like to learn how to use this stuff?
Messdreieck 36
RK31
SF 14 Gi with messkreis
EM34
EM36
Large artillery slide rule
Granatwerfer 34 slide rule
Optics for MG's, Gw34, PAK, Flak 36, etc
Plus drawing boards and drafting equipment with different plastic and metal ranging pieces. There is a metal circular device that was issued for fire laying. This has a metal arm for distance measurement. The instrument are gaduated at 10,000; 25,000; 50,000, and higher.
One of the geviertafel has a scale on the back of it more in line with mortar ranges.
How was the RK31 used to lay out fields of fire? Once laid out I understand that the Germans used forward observers who plotted the fire missions and issued fire corrections by telephone. Any info regarding indirect fire no matter how small or great would be appreciated.
