Is this a British shell ?

Hi Guys,

really not my thing, but I picked up some trench art and this was included, i thought British because of the arrow marking, any info, size etc. it is about 11.5" long x 1.5" wide.

Yes, it is British. Those arrow markings are the broad arrow stamps indicating British military acceptance/property. The size of the shell is also stamped on the bottom of the case. It appears to be 2 pdr..... the rest is cut off in the photo. 2 Pdr is the abbreviation for 2 pounder.
