Straight out of Finland They still used the 88 into the 1980s and used war time ammo. You'll notice that the projectile has no paint as these were re-furbised and that the case has been painted grey to protect the steel, you should find Finish markings stenciled in black. The fuze has been added later probably by a dealer to make a complete round. Some don't like these Finnish rounds as they have been messed with and in the case of the carts, fired a few times post war. They are still war time manufactured and good. I like it!

                Nico,

The same gray sprayed cases? Curious about them,

This specimen does not look like common Finnish one to me.

Finnish Army stamped word VAARATON into soft metal driving rings area of the grenade before they sold them to civilians.Grenades in finnish usage are either dark Green or dark Gray painted and Driving rings area have sticky tar black paint as german shells had.Interior of the grenades are white.

Also the casing does not look like Finnish one, there is no common ink markings in side of the casing.Either RTA(coastal usage) or ITA(antiair usage).

Here is few original color shells i picked up few months ago:

                    jippee,

I've seen that these cases came form Finland, and were resprayed when to ugly for sale, they were in the same batch as the one you reffered too.
So period cases, Ex-finland. The Yugo's are mostly found with a post war Yugo primer in it.
