Potato Masher - Trainer, Display, or FAKE?

    Hey guys:

I just picked up this really nice looking grenade. Can anyone advise what it is? Can't read German, so maybe that will tell the tale!

It's all wood and has a proof on the top that seems OK, but I have no clue.

    Thanks in advance!

This is a German M24 stickhandgrenade. But, in my opinion the whole grenade is a fake. Stencilling on the head is very bad. This is how the stencilling should look like.

          Thanks

OK, thanks. If it is a fake, it is a nice one anyhow. Good for a display I guess. I figured a trainer would weigh the same or close to an original, so the weight made me wonder right off the bat.

          Thanks agian!

              Hello:
It is a reenactor grenade entirely made of wood. They cannot be considered as a fake grenades because it is impossible to take them as a good one.

I have a friend who produces some of these, quite cheap, just for reenactors. Not trying to fool anyone just because they are all wood. No fake, just reenactors stuff.
