    WWII Fuze Box

    Just purchased this WWII German Fuze box. It is all cardboard and and measurements are as follows.
    Length 176 mm
    width 75 mm
    height 45 mm

    That is a great box. Cardboard ones are tough to find. It looks like it is for the German D.Z.35 Mine Fuze.

      The box seems to be for boostercharges, for the Zündladung 41.
      I never seen these for real, but out of the series of boosters, this must have been placed under a fuze mechanism that provided flash, not detonation.
      This Zundladung41 is the first detonating component in the shell after the fuze. See drawing attached.
      The booster contains a detonator 3801, see 2nd pic attached. Around it it is filled up with NP.10 high explosives.
      The box might have served from factory up to gun positions I guess.
