1942 Egg grenade

Hi,
Would you expect to see an ink stamp "wog" or "woq 12. 42" on an egg grenade maker-marked "gck 42" on the base?
I'd have expected "Do" or similar?
Any ideas, grenade boffins?

Not sure I can help you, but based on an egg grenade, I can read ,,Do'' wdg 12 42
At the top of the head, I can see a 42 marking under the painting.
