    Heres my new alarm clock i got it on ebay last night so not yet in my hands but looks good to me ,am i right in thinking its a ww1 shell? cheers Dave

                  Look at the C with broad arrow (in red) on the fuze head in photo 3!

                  I now notice there isn't a C and arrow mark on the bottom...

                    Obviously made of parts found on the battlefield. The shell is made of a fired shrapnel shell and so the fuze and casing were added to it to make a complete shell. First one like this that I have seen. Normally you find them made into lamps. I think it's a nice piece, congratulations.
