    Relic Stick Grenade - Winter camo

    Hello friends!

    I picked this piece up this morning at the Toronto Military show. It was apparently recovered from under water near a dike near Arnhem in the Netherlands. The silt preserved it mostly aside from the warping you see. The top was removed and filled with foam to preserve the structure.

    And it appears to have a winter camo application which also survived.

    Opinions welcome!

        I doubt any camouflaged grenades were ever made. Too much energy for something so small that you just use once.
        I think the paint changed color because of being underground; or it may have been simply repainted.

          As stated by poster camouflage paint, a very nice touch and desirable indeed.
          common to whitewash equip before a snow campaign.
          notice the ammo pouch in the below pic.

              Not necessarily, it would appear that the soldat on the left has white handles while the one on the right has natural handles.

                  that is not a witer camo - this is a car putty

                  someome put it on can beacouse it has a very bad shape
                  probably someome wants to make reconstruction

                    Well, you learn something every day, I had never seen camo grenades.
                    But I still dont think the one in question is camouflaged, as non of the original green paint is visible under the "camouflage".
                    Car putee may be the solution.
