    Shell id help!

Hello folks. I'm pretty sure this is American, but can anyone tell me exactly WHAT this thing is?? A practice bomb?? It's just an empty shell, a few feet tall. I can't find any nomenclature, markings, etc...Appreciate any help w/ an identification. Thanks!

I saw one of these for sale at the Ft. Worth, Texas militaria show two weeks ago and wondered the same thing - that is it?

To me, it sort of looks like a U.S. WWII training bomb that has been cut down, i.e. the mid-section removed so that all you have left is the nose and the tail portion blended together.

Maybe others can give a positive ID?

You guys are right! I thought about calling it either Fat Man or Little Boy, but more than likely it's flea market fodder next time around. Thanks!
