    Can somebody clarify to me where exactly this type of zunder was used.

      AZ23/28 was used on ammunition for:

      8,8 cm Flak 18, Flak 36
      8,8 cm Kw.K. 36
      8,8 cm KwK. 43
      s. 10 cm K18
      10,5 cm Flak 38 and 39
      12,8 cm K.40, Pak 44 etc
      12,8 cm Flak 40

      This is the rarer alu version, the steel coated version is much more common
