    M39 Nebel.

    opinions on handle please......grooved or smooth ????

    This M39 top originally came with a smooth handle
    and the can that came with this handle was printed upside down.
    so opinions please, grooved or smooth ???

    Nice Nebel Jeeeensey , send it to me if you like and I will decide what handle looks best when its in my cabinet.
    Very nice example of a scarce Nb variant

          smoke grenades with the grooved (and white stripe) rule! I think it makes the whole piece. it does make me laugh that most of Us collectors think of this stuff almost as a "military fashion show". We are a strange breed. Glenn

                      Sorry for a late opinion on this. This can is an early can so it must to have a Smooth handle. Also not all Smooth handles had the white painted ring. The painted ring started around 1940-1941 when handles changed from Smooth to Raised Rings.
