Gun Sight - for a PAK 40?

Hello All - This large (11" long) gun site came with the note"German WWII 40mm Anti Tank Sighting Device". I don't know much about artillery, but I would think a 40mm gun wouldn't make much of a dent on a tank, so was wondering if they meant to say "German WWII PAK 40 Anti Tank Sighting Device".

But, I found a picture of a PAK 40 site, and don't see much resemblance, so was wondering if anyone knew what this was for.

Flak optical sight

It is all described in German. You have directing sight for large range finder. This sight, as one of four, was mounted atop of big optical sight.
