    Some different grenades for leuchtpistole

    Hi members,

Just to share with you some new items (by the way, thank to the member )

Some different, what is called, pistolgrenades (designed to be fired and launched by german flare guns during WWII).

    - Wurfkörper 361 LP (second model, two variations: one with wooden cylinder and the other with bakelite one) with M39 grenade.

    - Wurfkörper 358 LP (with a M24 grenade)

    - and a Panzerwurfkörper 42 LP

Correct me if I'm wrong with some of the description.

PS: By the way, all the parts of these items are inactive !!

    and

    Have a good day

    Regards

Those grenades are really interesting. Just curious, how far would they travel when fired out of the a flare pistol? Ray

      Flare pistol grenades

      Hello Bruno, Hi Ray,

nicest LP grenades, especially the Panzerwurfkörper 42 is ultra-rare in this condition/shape and yours looks GREAT !

It could only be fired from the Kampfpistole Z or from the LP with a special "corrugated" barrel insert.

Well, they travelled not very far, the 3 modified handgrenades perhaps around 50-60 meters, the M24 even less.
The Panzerwurfkörper 42 went 75 meters.

        Hi Ferd,

Nothing to add more. You've wrote all.
Concerning the Panzerwurfkörper 42, it's hard for me to understand how it can be fired from a Z Leuchtpsitole. Indeed the barrel is rifled, but the sleeve with the good diameter is quite very short... anyway, I trust you

              flare guns

Hello Bruno, I like your site a lot. I would be happy to help you but my photography is not very good.

if you are ever in the West Palm Beach florida area, you are welcome to stop in and photograph any item in my Collection.

              I have over 200 Heers, ~ 80 Model L, 35 Stainless Steel Kriegsmarines, 25 Kampfpistoles, 2 sturmpistole ( 1 original, and 1 repro ), etc, etc.

I also have well over 100 Heer Holsters, and many other accessories.

              Good Collecting, Signalman

                Hi Signalman,

Waowww !! What an impressive description !!

                Thanks for your comment.
It would be a real great pleasure but in the near future I have no project to cross the little river between our homes (I'm living in France).
Concerning a contribution, I would be very pleased to 'use' some pictures of your collection (to illustrate the different members of the flare guns).

Before having the opportunity to meet you, welcome you and make a little photograph reportage or report, don't hesitate to send some pictures (normal size), Mines had just been taken with natural light (just near the windows (opened) with the macro mode of my basic camera, on a white paper and use Picassa to increase the light.

                Hope hearing from you.

                Sincerely,

                Regards

                Bruno

                      Hi there

                      Very nice collection!
The 42LP cant be used without the sleeve. The "rifleing" on the grenade is much smaller than the Z pistol. My 42LP is not quite as nice, but I'm happy with it. A few pics to share at http://www.fieldgear.org/pistolgrenades.htm

                      Best,.>Rob
