    device component ?

    I found the first of these brass wheels about 3 weeks ago in a field not far from a battlefield. I didn't know what it was so i disgarded it in my garbage box. Then today I found a second one, and i noticed they are marked NKB (or HKB) 43. They are 3 cm diameter. Anyone knows what it is? I think it is a part of some kind of device.

    This is part of the valve on a gas mask.

      Thanks Whsammler! This is curious ! the first piece was in an area where I commonly found bits of disgarded equipment, including parts of gasmask, but the 2nd one was very far in a place completely clear from this stuff. I'd better go there and check again, I might have some nice surprise then.
