WWI German Grenade ornament, any ideas what it is?

Hi everyone,

This is kind of a unique item, any ideas what it is? It looks to be a WW1 German Egg grenade, possibly from the manufacturer of munitions.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this, or do they know of the company name?

Never heard of the firm and there little info to be found online

Apparently this is a real grenade fixed to the base.
