What gun fired these ?

Hello I bought these VMS shells recently (VMS being the only markings) they have trench art on the brass cases SOUVENIR OF ???? its been polished away so I assume its WW1 ,But what sort of mini artllery piece would have used such small shells ? any help would be great .Rob.

Wow thats quite interesting I was only looking at that gun the other month ,(the one in the IWM)I think I even took a photo of it I will have to have a look . A well spent £30, Cheers HGrenadier .Rob
