      Doubts

      Hello,

I have serious doubts about its originality.
The end-cap however looks quite ok but the markings on the wooden shaft
      are doubtful and dubious !!
Better close-ups of the head and the thread would help.
I would pass on that one for sure !

      Cheers,

      Ferdl

A close up pic showing thread detail and fuze well on head would be a great help, the whole thing looks a bit dodgey from the pics provided and its hard to make a call either way without better pics to study . Handle markings dont look to good either.Unless you can get better detail stear clear of this one.
Try navigating your way around this site, there are some excellent reference pics and a great repro spotting section.

I am a bit wary about the wooden handle. Better pictures would be nice. From the picture shown the steel pot looks good, but to be sure better pictures are required.

              Hi all:
Not all the sticks marked a/bdp eagle 43 are fake. Yours seems an original one, only a little different the screw for the BrennZünder. Apart of this you have here a non matching parts as the end cap with the springled carboard disc. This was changed to only a cardboard disc in 1941-1942. Your stick is marked 1943. And the other thing is the little ceramic pearl on the pull cord. The ceramic pearls are found on early M24s, later was changed for metal balls. The pressed connector is matching with the 43 date. Another thing could be the addition of a repro handle for complet the grenade, but the pressed connector seems very well..... pressed. I think that it is an original grenade made from loose parts.
