    Egg grenade

    Hi,
I have these two egg grenades. Each is stamped fnw 44 on the bottom. Can anyone tell me about them ? Are they OK ? One has a stamp which I cannot read. The last digits appear to say 44. Can anyone decipher it for me ?

    Many thanks,
    Steve

            Hi,

            congrats to your 2 nicest M39s !!
All fine - the stampings are ok but I cannot say anything new about them.
Maker's code rubber stamp - Date well readable.

            Keep them well,

            Ferdl

                  Hi Steve,
No-one's mentioned it yet but Pawlas's book on the letter codes gives "fnw" as "Bolichwerke, Metall- u. Emaillierwerk fuer die Elektroteknik, Bruchsal".
They weren't into the Internet back then - it was a metal and enamel works!
                  A lucky find.
                  Best regards,
                  Grossfuss

Thanks for all the positive feedback, guys. Thanks to GF for the code info too !
I would still like to know what the ink stamp says. Can anyone enlighten me ?

                    Regards,
                    Steve
