8,8 cm flak

Hi guys,a friend gave me this thing today !!!
It seems to be a 8,8 cm flak round.

Phoe, I bought mine in Normandy for € 10, only the shell. (will post some pic's this evening, if you'd like) But this is a relic, yours is newer + you got the head.

Maybe someone else knows what it's worthy.

250-300 euro's, maybe a bit more if the the paint is original. Nice to see one thats not ex Finnish Army.

That fact that some came out of Finland doesn’t affect their value ..they are still 8.8 rounds and in many cases in better condition than most. I never felt there was a problem with any of the Finnish Army 88 rounds since , they didn’t remove the Head stamps and the orig markings all seem to be intact. I’ve never run into one with a huge “SA” painted on it the way the marked the Panzershreck’s . Some have been re-painted but , what can we do right ?
The Finn’s basically baby sat these rounds for us and , they did a good job …better than the rusted out water recovered examples out there.
If the Rounds were produced in Finland and not Germany ...it would be a different story. Then it would be a Finnish COPY of a German Round and worth less..but , that's not the case .
I have 5 Rounds ..4 Flak 18’s and one Flak 41 ..one of my 18’s came with the orig C22 primer, that was a lucky find !

Only point I would make is the Non Finnish projectiles would tend to make more money. One of the reasons for this all the Finnish shells were reconditioned in the early 80's which involved sandblasting the projectiles therefore they have no original paintwork.

Have you a picture of the 8,8cm KwK 36 shell headstamp?
