US 50 cal. 10 Round Packets

Enjoy this scarce 1942 10 round .50 cal. Tracer Packet.. These were packed in 350 round wooden boxes.. Once they arrived in the theater of opperations the boxes were opened and the ctgs. were put into MG links for use... Not many of the paper boxes survived.. Later in the war 50 cal. ammo was boxed in 265 round wooden boxes linked ready for the .50 cal Machine Gun... Making this packing a hard one to find...BILL

Very nice Bill
I have heard of them but never seen one. With the demand for ammo at the time it is surprising that any survived.
