        Bill,

        Thanks for posting that. The projectile is the correct armor piercing capped type with green paint. These seem to be quite a bit harder to find than the shell casings themselves. At least one of the semi-auto guns still exists today in a friend's collection in California although I'm not sure if he has ever restored it to firing condition.

        Thanks, too, for the link to info on the fate of the American Armament company. I have one of their pre-war catalogs and knew of their heavy marketing to the Latin American market but was unaware of how the company came to its end. I often wondered how it could have just faded away during a war when just about everyone was tooled up and making munitions for the Government. Interesting story.

          Bill that is a nice round. I did not realize it was AP until I read the reply from Ordnance. I thought it had a fuse.
