            Hi Bill

            Nice shell, there can't be many form this war around here. It would be great to have anything for this period. Do you have any of the Mausers. I understand most "personalized" the stocks.

              I saw one at a gun show. I heard most of the ones in the US were captured on their way to South Africa and were send to the US on the commercial market.

                Nice shell!!, I'm trying to get 2 of these back from South Africa (I think they are Pom Poms but I'll have to wait till I receive them), unfortunatley they have been receovered from a set of bed side lamps!!
                Most "South African" Mausers in the US market are Chilean Mausers, they were originally ordered by the OVC (Orange Free State) but the war started before they could ship them and the Chilean army bought them up. You still get genuine Boer war Mausers in the US, South Africa, New Zealand and Aus, I would love one but unfortunatley I live in the Uk and our government seem to get their kicks out of banning things.
                (Every week I seem to put another banned item in the attic!!)
