I have great pictures of the one in my collection.
its a Stahlgrenate 41 Anti-tank round.
It was fired from the Pak 37 gun using a special blank cartridge.
If anyone can send me an email, then i will send you the pics!
I agree with Adrian, scarce is a correct phrase rather than rare.
cheers

i have seen 2 pictures of them in use in werner mullers book "german flak in WWII" this guy was asking way to much for his,he wanted $850!!!i figured if it was rare and a good price it would have been snatched up by Bill Grist who collects that sort of thing,he left the show before i had a chance to ask him about it.it was neat getting to handle and take pics of the thing, inert odnance seems to be drying up in the states since it is near impossible to import now.Last edited by Radcollector; 10-10-2007, 04:41 PM.

The top comes off quit easily; it's not welded on, but pressed on.
In fact, all lake found 3,7 cm Stielgranate 41 have loose tops; it's the only way to safely remove the HE charge.
As a result, the steel liner, which is part of the hollow charge, is always missing.
850 $ is a ridiculous price, but what if it was one for 2 cm Flak 38, Czech 3,7 cm Pak, or 4 cm Flak , or even bigger ?
In that case 850 $ would be much more acceptable.

Of course the price depends on the condition but £200 in the UK is good.
What is harder to find are the containers of which there is a metal and a wooden type. Even harder is an authentic blank case and then there was the holder for the cases that went in the container. Few of the holders survive as the tube that held the blank case was made of cardboard.
