    Hi everyone,

what do you think about this M24 Stick grenade ?

The Waffen amt marked before painting no ?

the 2 R are in the same direction, but all seems ok, so ?

A very nice origioanl you can see where the film has been pereced to get the explosives out and allthoug the RR is used on a well known fake it is good
the stick also looks fine but the "white" metal in the screw cap looks suspect to me

It would be nice if I could see it in natural light, I would like to say it is good but the pictures are abit fuzzy and dark.

Can you get some brighter pictures?? Like out side in the sun???

It does appear to be an original, but the Richard Rinker double "R" code is very suspicious. I think that it is a genuine "tampered with" speciman.

O.k. Bill, you just taught me something new! The non-reversed double "R" variation was utilized - very interesting. Do you know what the Do 6/40 (printed on the side) refers to?

A perfectly matching grenade in very good original condition. Not tempered with in anyway exept from the removal of the explosives.
Do 6/40 means: Do (type of explosive powder mix) and produced June 1940.
If you dont feel comfortable with I would be more than happy to buy it

looks like you have enough good opinions here. I know I would feel comfortable with it in my collection. I used to be very weary of the RR's shown here but I have seen definite good examples such as this so Im sold. Glenn

can you please confirm that the end cap is black in color? I just saw my first example of a black end cap. here it is on Peters site.

and then for your next grenade you will want to purchase this puppy and tuck it in your back pocket when you head out to the front. Glenn

Is there a good reference on these and other German arms/munitions that lists the different makers codes and explosive charge codes etc?
