WWI German hand grenade?

I'm not sure if this is a WWI hand grenade, or just a pre-WWII model with the hook (obviously not an expert). Can anyone tell from the markings when the Germans cranked this one out? Thanks - s/f Robert

Hi,

In my opinion, this is a WWI production. In fact, after the first war, they changed this model to a new version (which was pretty similar to the WWII) in 1924.

It is dated 23rd of april 1918 - so WWI. If you have no use for it, I could use it...
