      & a reference scale please,

No way of telling whether it is twelve inches tall, or twelve feet.

      Best,
      Matt

        It's 4,7 cm Sprenggranate 36 (t), for the 4,7 cm Pak (t).

What was it used for (artillery, mortar,...) except blowing your enemy's sky high

Hi Nick, as Zunder has already correctly mentioned it is a Czech made Anti Tank round. The gun was often mated with the Pz I chassis.

              Cheers, Ade.

The Skoda designed and made 4,7 cm Pak (t) was used in various roles.

First and most important as a antitankgun, in case of "soft"targets, antipersonel, tit would have used the round Nick has.
It was also mounted in several tanks, among them the Panzer I B, and the french Renault made R 35.

It was widely used as a beach defensegun (official name 4,7 cm Pak.K. 36 (t) in the Atlantikwall, in that case it would have been placed in a bunker behind a 20 cm thick armour plate.

Nick's shell is made by Skoda, under german supervision, and is probably fitted with a N.34 (t) fuze.

Matching shellcase is a brass 47 x 404 mm, either with tsjech or german headstamp.
