    When Did Germany First Use Brass Shells?

    Hi all, I have this 75mm 1897 case and was wondering if anyone can tell me when Germany first adopted brass shell cases for their artillery?

    The oldest German brass cartridges I know are from 1886 (37x95R )


    and 1888 ( 53x176R Gruson )

      I have brass Naval 37mm made in 1883 Lorenz Dez Karlsruhe 11.
