Hi Bob

Dont know diddly sqwat about dog tags but the eagle is a nice aluminum first pattern summer eagle by J. C Maedicke of Berlin (M in diamond mm on back: they produced 2 variants) The wrap around pin (the flimsy /delicate type) and the lower clasp are missing but the front finish is really nice on this one!
This summer uniform bird can also be found in gold

It should be noted that while solid aluminum birds (like Maedicke & Schwerin) are mostly associated to KM both the Army & the Navy wore both the gold & silver ones
