it is almost impossible (at least for me )from this photo.The thing written Below does not help,i need a symbol painted on the turret.Wait for others maybe they can help you,sorry.Merry Christmas

Difficult one indeed! But I wonder if the ships on the turret are painted especially for propaganda reasons only because it seems common practice on bridges of surface ships but rather uncommon for u-boats, so maybe this is just an avant la lettre "photoshopped" picture?

Maybe propaganda or maybe not,every crew did what they like to do so maybe they wanted to paint the ships just because they like to do it.

Doesn't look like a WWII Kriegsmarine U-boat to me, maybe WWI one ?

This is the front and reverse....I can't add currently the U-Boat but "Film Foto Verlag Berlin SW 68" was not around during WW 1 as far as I know.....can't really find anything for PK Beilstein at the moment either.
