Gentlemen. I would very much appreciate your views on this Blouse.
I would be the first to agree it does not conform to standard if only with the six button configuration. Interestingly though the Imperial War Museum in London also has a U Boat Blouse with a six button closure but of a different and non standard pattern again.
The silver appearance to the buttons is the result of loss to the gilt finish, they are not official’s button but appear to have oxidised.
