Kriegsmarine Overseas Cap - with wrong eagle?

First guess was Railway, based on the eagle...but no red piping (?).

The collector I got it from indicated this it was KM, but someone added the railway eagle...

Though it looks black in the photo...it appears to be closer to blue in natural light.

Thoughts?

The Trap is Reichsbahn With the cockade cut off not sure about the cap it might be post war and I don't care for the cockade either

mmmmmmmmmmm....pretty sure the Rechsbahn overseas cap eagle did not have a cockade in the trap below the eagle. All my legit ones, have the same eagle, with cockade sewn in the same place as this one...

Or is there something you are seeing that I am not?
