Have seen and owned several earlier Army Style with KM mounted eagles..Billbert

Absolutely, as you and km-spain pointed out, KM issue and marked Heer M34 style caps certainly existed and were worn - another example without ventilation grommets

Just a few of them, with KM depot stamps, in around 25 years collecting only 8-10 of them.

This interesting resized example was sold last week in an auction house.

Thank you i have a lot of gas masks in my collection but to receive photos of the owner who was carrying it on his back is the ice on the cake. Glad the family gave them away!

After a long time i was able to have a short talk again with the daughter. She was very helpful finding a picture of his grave. I will visit it one day and take a picture with his photos and his gas mask.
