Lovely set up, I could do with a life jacket of this type and a heavy gloves for a similar " crewman".

Hi Ludwig they are civilian gloves , they are German made with strap at the inside wrist. one stud with word nappa. they are very like the Luftwaffe ones double strap. they are not marked but do the job. hope this helps.Paul

Brilliant mannequin, I love it..I’m in the process of setting up a similar pose, just need the waterproof jacket and a few items, I’m obsessed with U Boats. I’ve attached just two of my items from my vast collection.

                        Hi Paul,

The goggles i think are from the escape apparatus, after research they are missing a steel ring which goes around each eye and clipped on. If you google them you can find an example but this is the best I can find and they are German made and dated 43. I’ll have to post further picture of my collection.

You did a fantastic job on your mannequin of a U Boat man, would love to see further displays.

Life jacket and heavy deck gloves required.
                            The binoculars my "main thing".
The display photos at a "Battle of the Atlantic " weekend at Londonderry's Guildhall in may.
The renactors t the Guildhall doo I "kitted them out" with binoculars for the photo opportunity.

Amazing thread, I love it and right up my street - U Boats

Another great display with a mannequin, I can’t believe you have two 8x60 ‘Fat One’ Binoculars. I only want just one although they are very pricey..congratulations on the display, it looks fabulous.

My collection is small compared to others and is pretty much built around the binocular aspect, would love a UZO will probably never come my way just got too expensive and out of my league.

Love seeing other collections and always something to learn so thread like this are much enjoyed.

Some of these do get used on a regular basis, attached some other UB related items.
