Hello,


It is a km summer blue on white enlisted jumper breast eagle. Some collectors do not like this design because they have never seen a period picture of this eagle in wear. The design is one ugly eagle. With that said I look at the construction on the reverse side and have no problem with it being consistent with being a Third Reich manufactured piece.


I have seen this eagle in yellow on Gold, Gold on Blur, Gold on dark green, and gold on white, all Naval colors. I have not seen this eagle in Army colors.

Thanks very much for your detailed reply.. basically this is the same type as the other eagle I posted a few weeks ago which was the gold on blue version.. sometimes referred to as the “toucan” and as you said an ugly bird. I’m glad you like the construction of the piece and deem it to be a period third reich piece. Thankyou again sir..

Hi Nick,

I’ve heard that too... some referring to them as French made, I have a yellow eagle on blue backing also this is my second eagle in this style.
