A very nice breast eagle for my Kriegsmarine collection, hope you all like it as much as I do..

Thumbsup! I have a cap eagle that is similar or the same just smaller. I really like KM items, mainly collect eagles as the KM badges tend to be out of my budget. Nice eagle in excellent condition!

I have one example like yours





I suppose these eagles are the ones known as "French made" always in controversial because for the most collectors(even me) are genuine period but someone needs see them in period pic wearing those eagles and meanwhile

I don't like these (what I call them) TOUCAN eagles, for me they are post war. Anyone who is going to argue that, feel free, but please show evidence (pictures of toucans in wear) and don't get emotional

Yes they do look like a toucan.. do you consider them post war simply because of the lack of photos of them being period worn? Or because of the materials/construction of the actual piece ? Etc

Materials/construction looks good, but I am sceptical because I never saw one in a war time picture, nor did I saw one in old books/catalogues/magazine published before lets say 1994 or so.

Nowadays too many books appear with astonishing fake items presented as the real stuff, as an example: German Combat Helmets 1933 – 1945 by Peter J Nash.

Just my humble opinion, I stay openminded and I am ready to learn. Just hate (like anybody I guess) to be deceived by post war items sold as genuine.

Really i don't know what you mean and on the other way Im not a expert but may be is the flash light because this Bevo eagle construction is verified for a lot of collectors and I posted in another thread in past and nobody said nothing bad about construction but the problems to these is see them on period pics
See now the same with no flash light




Although we could not see pics now Im afraid...here I posted 2 eagles(one the example from this thread)
