Well,
I will share my opinions. I haven't seen any hardware like this on other shields or crests. The Metal work is very good but like you, I am skeptical of the period. Really depends on what they are being sold as. I feel like this person is a great metalsmith and I share your skepticism.
They are tastefully done, but I don't want any replicas in my collection as many others feel the same way.
These Tradition badges are a minefield. Without ironclad provenance, it is better to steer clear as items like these will always come into question.
