just got this little grouping in and wondered what you may think about it. There was a big box of papers and fotos of these two soldiers (father & son) but unfortunatly I missed out on them. Happily I could get the items pictured here.
Sadly the moths also took there share...

Love the Dress Belt and Buckle in Mint Conditions..and the Paris made U boat flotilla pinned cap...Billbert
Do you see a maker on that buckle please !!

I am asking myself why the peacoat has an EM chevron but nco collar patches ?
Also the mix of different trade patches makes not a lot of sense.
It's a nice group with interesting items but maybe not all belonged to the same person and maybe not "untouched" ?

I have no clue why it is like it is but I can asure you that it was all found together like this on the same attic, the insignia and jackets were covered with dirt and moth debrees so I had to brush it all out alot. There was no one between to touch or alter the stuff.
Sad that I didnt have the papers and pics, that may have proofen some things.

I do not have any doubt about your description of the find...and its a very nice find ! I would love to have such a success !
Never know what happened with the jacket..but still great !
