Opinion: Admiral Scheer Spain Pocket Watch?

I would like the help of the community for this.

Somebody is selling a broken pocket-watch that is supposedly related to the Admiral Scheer - one of the famous "pocket battleships" of the Kriegsmarine. It's connected to its time during the Spanish Civil War, which the Admiral Scheer did participate.

I have never seen something like this before. Can anybody confirm its authenticity? The white tape on the back might be due to seller rules (no Nazi symbols and such).

The seller's father apparently owned it and seemingly was a veteran of WW2 (as evidenced by the rest of the items being sold).

The guy posted up this picture of the interior of the watch.

According to him, it said this inside:

"M Rivcil (?) 7 Rubis Literia (?)"

I tried using this sheet (http://www.sometimeago.com/watch-brand-list/), but I can't seem to find any reference to a maker by any of these words.

I'm wondering if this might be a more modern fake (i.e. 50s-60s) since I don't think the seller is purposefully trying to trick people.

It doesn't help that the metallic interior reflects off of the camera, which makes the quality a bit shoddy.

Hi mate,
There's always a chance that it is a one-off customised souvenir piece that was period made, but in this case I wouldn't put my money on it. The engraving looks quite dreadful and the watch itself does little to boost my comfort level either.

Hmmmm...could it be a commemorative item for the ship's role in the Spanish Civil War? According to the seller, it is pretty beat-up - something that can hurt its value immensely. The engraving could also be hurt by the photography work, though that doesn't give me much confidence in its authenticity as well.

Do you know if there has been German pocket-watches named after a specific ship / specific event? I know that the Japanese have cups and boxes that are used to commemorate a certain event and / or a specific ship. This is the first I've seen of this sort of sample for the Kriegsmarine.

I wonder...couldn't the swastikas be accurate though? After all, the Kriegsmarina was active as an entity during the Spanish Civil War (not the Reichsmarine).

To be honest, I can't see the design for the word that well. Does it say Spanien - the German word for Spain? I'm losing a lot of confidence in the watch...
