    cap eagle 3 prongs for review please

    this is a less common 3 prong KM cap eagle: are these the sharp endings prongs correct please?

      Hi Glazer

      Pointed welded clips on what looks like a nice brass/tombac bird...I'm still looking for a specimen of that particular type (KM) and, even if most of my earlier (than aluminum with crimped hardware) birds do have square ending (blunt) prongs like the attached Heer tombac set, I also have relatively early eagles which use pointed clips like the attached water customs eagle so I dont have a problem with yours. IMO, not unlike flight badges (with blunt pins on earlier badges & pointed pins on later ones), its mostly a matter of period but both types are correct.
