Hat looked good from the photos, but w/o rock-solid provenance, it is just another sr-grade officer cap.

I did not buy this cap, but I helped a friend buy it. The provenance was pretty good.

I thought about buying it to go with my Rogge frock coat, but the coat is at a vize-admiral rank, so the cap would not match. If one of his admiral caps ever came on the market, I would buy it, but since they are probably all in the Hamburg museum, I doubt that will ever happen.
